3D Printer

Green Hills Public Library District offers 3D printing services to GHPLD cardholders.  The 3D printer is an Ultimaker S7.

Printing charges are based on the time it takes for the item to be printed, at $0.25 per half hour, and will be rounded to the nearest half hour.

Print Project Inspiration

The 3D printer is useful by patrons of all ages.  Here are a few ideas of what we can print for you:

  • Seasonal and holiday decorations

The Library has look books at the Adult and Youth Services Desks, featuring test prints and resources for creating your own prints.

You can also take a look at many different project ideas on Thingiverse.com, or design your own file using Tinkercad.com.  Please note that these resources are not created or controlled by GHPLD.

How to Submit a Request

  • Visit the Library’s Adult or Youth Services Departments to obtain and submit a paper request form.
  • Download the request form and return it in-person or submit via email.
  • Files sent via email must be in .stl format.

The 3D printer is operated by Library staff, but the machine is available in the public area for viewing.  

Staff will contact you when your print job is ready for pick up.  Payment is due upon receipt of your print job.
